About The Concert
Coronavirus Cancelling of the Mariel Buckley w/ Kat Zel Concert this Saturday
Dear Foothills Folk Club Supporters,
As shared out yesterday, our club members have been connecting daily on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. As the situation is ever-evolving, we committed to each other to review each day and determine what our approach should be. Based on the additional information that has been shared, and for the safety of all our valued folk club supporters, we have collectively decided to cancel our concert scheduled for this Saturday.
Thank you in advance for your understanding. Anyone who purchased their tickets for this online, we will be refunding your order shortly. If you purchased your ticket at Colossis's Coffee House, bring your printed ticket back to that location for a refund.
We will look at bringing Mariel Buckley back to our club at a future date.
Thank you for another fantastic season of music! Your support means the world to us! Take care everyone - we are collectively sending you all virtual hugs.
Sincerely, The Crew at the Foothills Folk Club

Mariel Buckley is coming back, this time with her entire band to WOW us. "Buckley’s songwriting is a precision-guided missile aimed at truth. 'Driving In The Dark' vividly paints pictures of the existential questions that dog us. It offers simple songs with complex nuance." — Rachel Cholst, Wide Open Country. Few performers combine the lyrical heartfelt authenticity of classic country music with a steely-eyed intensity that compels an audience’s attention like Calgary, Alberta’s Mariel Buckley. Amidst a sea of neon-Nashville superstars, Buckley offers a crunchy, roots alternative.
About Kat Zel - Watch her live performance at the Calgary Stampede Talent Search
We first head Kat at our songwriter's contest where she won runner up. Her voice and energy on stage was a force to be reckoned with. “Kat Zel is such a brilliant "painter" of music. She constantly adds new texture, color and depth to her artistry. Thank you for sharing your talents with our studio and community - Kat Zel Music. You are such a pleasure to have in our lives.” — Leanne Sundquist Cummings - Crescendo Music Studios
